The activities we organize for our members play an important role in their social integration. As an opportunity to meet and share experiences, they enable people with spinal cord injuries to be in contact with other people who have similar life experiences and can offer mutual assistance, while breaking the isolation sometime felt by people with spinal cord injuries. They take place in restaurants, outside, or even at a rehabilitation centre. At first glance, some of them may seem nothing more than entertainment, but they work to pursue the long-term goals of overcoming physical barriers, learning to make use of available technical aids, and learning to cope with activities where there is a crowd. There are several activities throughout the year, both in Montreal, Quebec and other regions. Here is a partial list, but you can visit our “Events” page to find out about upcoming events near you by clicking here.

MEMO-Qc also organizes various activities (briefings, conferences by professionals, etc.) that enable its members to obtain detailed information on certain issues of concern, for example regarding the guidelines for insurance agents, the different adaptations that can be made to a vehicle, etc.
