Advocacy Services

The advocacy services division of MEMO-Qc is divided into two parts: counseling individual members, and managing collective causes.

If you or someone in your life has a spinal cord injury, you can use these services to obtain information and support on an individual basis to help defend your rights in problematic situations related to your or their disability. Our counselors will accompany you throughout the process and may, if necessary, refer you to another professional if your case requires legal consultation.

The collective actions help promoting awareness on the realities faced by people with spinal cord injuries among policy makers. Whether by taking part in various committees and round tables or by direct representation to various government bodies, our counselors have a constant influence on the design and revision of programs and policies affecting the quality of life of our members.
